Is anyone else just hooked on shows like The Fixer Upper? We love Joanna and Chip. In fact we are convinced that Home Depot and Lowe's should be paying their marketing bills alone because every time we watch an episode we are ready for our next project and off to the the home improvement stores we go.
Handy Hanvey's. After watching episodes, we jump right into a project and quickly realize that we are lacking our team of working professionals to help us through the hard parts of the projects. Despite our less than professional abilities, we are proud of the work we have done on our limited budget for projects.
Reality. Unfortunately, we don't live in Waco, Texas where houses seem cheap and we can plan a $60,000 - $80,000 budget for our fixer upper. Instead we find ourselves trying to use scraps, leftovers, sales, and hard work to make our projects come out as close to our ideal as possible on as little a budget as possible.
Hope. We hope that you will enjoy seeing our projects and allowing them to spark ideas about how you can make the dream of fixer upper projects a reality for your circumstances.
